Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Green Hills Safaris representative and transferred to your comfortable hotel in Arusha. Spend the afternoon relaxing and preparing for your exciting adventure ahead, with an optional briefing on the itinerary.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive, spotting wildlife such as lions, giraffes, and various bird species. Picnic lunch in the park before heading to your lodge for dinner and a restful night.
Day 3: Tarangire to Central Serengeti
Drive through the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands towards the Serengeti National Park. Enter the Central Serengeti, known for its abundant wildlife and scenic vistas. Enjoy afternoon game viewing as you make your way to your camp or lodge nestled in the wild.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Central Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the Seronera Valley, the Serengeti’s wildlife hotspot. Witness big cats in action—lions lounging in the shade, elusive leopards, and speedy cheetahs. Capture stunning photos of vast savannah landscapes and diverse wildlife.
Day 5: Central to Northern Serengeti (Migration Tracking)
Journey northward to track the Great Migration. Depending on the timing, watch thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross rivers, pursued by predators. Experience the drama and raw energy of this natural spectacle while enjoying expert guiding.
Day 6: Northern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an early breakfast and final game drive, travel back through the Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at your lodge near the crater rim, where you can unwind with breathtaking views of the surrounding highlands.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Return to Arusha
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive through one of Africa’s richest ecosystems. Spot the Big Five elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalo, and leopards plus hippos and flamingos in the crater lakes. After lunch, drive back to Arusha for your onward travel or overnight stay.
